American Idol Top 9 Contestants

After a hard-day's work, its American Idol time for me during thursdays and fridays, with some chips and a good lazy position on the couch.

And its now down to the Top 9 contestants on Season 8 of American Idol.

Singing all-time classics from MoTown that celebrates 50 golden years of making music, the big man with a gentle voice from Texas did not end to have a golden night at all. It is time to go back to native Texas as Michael Sarver did not impress the judges with his performance last night, that immediately sent the clear message to all those watching that it is simply time to say goodbye for the oil rig roughneck.

"You don't have a chance of winning." Were the blunt words of Simon Cowell, that said it all for the father of two, despite his good start during Hollywood week.

Being in the botton three with Scott MacIntyre and Matt Giruad, his rendition of "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" was just not enough with all four judges, unanimously aggreing that he sounded "too corny". Simon's remark, "You're going home. Sorry." was the last blow to Michael's dream.

And it is down to eight hopefulls: Adam Lambert (who is my personal favorite), Allison Iraheta, Danny Gokey, Anoop Desai, Kris Allen, Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud, Scott MacIntyre and Megan Corkey.

Well, more weeks to watch and for me, there is no other winner as early now but Adam Lambert. How about you, who is your bet this season?

You're right Adam looks like the man to beat in that competition. But I like Danny, too. The guy with the glasses, I think. Sounds good to me.

hindi ko nasusundan ang AI, pero nagtataka lang ako (not only with AI, but in all reality-based contests), everytime somebody gets eliminated, it's big news.

isn't that contests are supposed to be? somebody to lose, so there will be winners.

grabe talaga marketing ng mga reality shows, kaya pati gameshows, reality-based na rin daw kuno.

nakakalungkot lang sa AI ngayon, walang Pinoy na nakasali

I go for Lil Rounds and Danny Gokey. Pero strong contender din si Adam Lambert, who will be a star, AI winner man o hindi. Hehe.

@jan: Adam is a great singer, good looks, appeal: in short, a total package for a star. gokey is also good but he just sounds like tylor hicks, season 6 winner who did not really made it to become a big star.

@roy: Haha! Of course, they need to kick in some reality-based programming to make contests interesting, digging even those things that are even so personal...and it will be profit in the end for the show.

Oo nga bro, this season wlang pinoy na nakasali...sayang yung si Lapus, yung kumanta ng "I am your Brother" ehehe LOL
