Philippine Azkals vs North Korea Live: The Philippine Azkals, days after taking draw against Malaysia in a friendly match held at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium left the country for the 2012 AFC Challenged Cup.

The tournament is going to be held in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The Philippine National Football team came from a training camp in the Middle East with three games played against Mid-East teams as part of their preparation for this tournament. The last of which was the 1-1 draw against former Suzuki Cup champion Malaysia.

With high altitude and cold weather, the Azkals arrived in the host country days before the tournament to acclimatized and make some further trainings and preparations against tough squads in their group.

The game for the Philippine Azkals will start on on March 9 against powerhouse North Korea. The match is to be held at the Halchowk Stadium.

North Korea is a very tough team as it is a past winner of this tournament. It is also a qualifier in the 2010 World Cup.

But the Azkals promised not to give the North Koreans an easy game, nor will thy become pushovers.

Hans Michael Weiss, the coach of the Philippines, is very optimistic about his boys come the day of the game.

This game of Philippines vs North Korea hopefully will be aired live. As the PFF and the Azkals had signed an agreement with ABS-CBN, their matches will be aired by the network.
