The Philippine National Team is all set for their match tomorrow against the Mongolian National Football team.
The Azkals arrived in Ulan Bator, Mongolia and tried to make themselves more familiar and comfortable with the freezing temperature.
During their first match against Mongolia, the Azkals won the game 2-0. It was held at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City and was watch by more than 10,000 fans live at the venue and millions of Filipinos from their homes. Chieffy Caligdong delivered the first goal for the Azkals while Phil Younghusband sealed the victory with another goal during the last minute of the game.

Temperature at Ulan Bator was recorded at minus 15 degrees Celsius. But despite this condition, the Azkals promised to play tough against the Blue Wolves and win the game.
Dan Palami, Azkals team manager said;
“More than the Mongolians, we’re more concerned of the cold condition. This is just another adversity we need to overcome. But I know the boys will give their all to win despite the cold condition.”
Hans Michael Weiss, team coach shared his sentiments too;
“Only the game tomorrow (Tuesday) will tell us how ready the boys are... But the boys have a good character and the preparations are good.”
The challenge to win the match is couple with the goal to score at least three goals in order for the Azkals to advance in the group stage of the AFC Challenge Cup which is scheduled on March 21-30. It will be held in Myanmar.
During the Philippines vs Mongolia match, De Jong will not see action as he opted not to join the game. Christopher Greatwich and goalkeeper Neil Etheridge will also be missed on the match.

UPDATE: The Philippine Azkals are set to face Sri Lanka for the next stage of the World Cup qualifier. Philippine Azkals vs Sri Lanka will have its first leg on June 29 in Sri Lanka.
