LeBron James Announcement on ESPN

LeBron James is making the announcement tomorrow, Friday on ESPN of his plan and the team he is joining for the upcoming NBA season after he entered the free agency status last July 1.

Many speculations are circulating of what team LeBron James is joining. Some of the NBA teams that has been courting him are New York Knicks, Nets and Miami Heat.

Amare Stoudemire, who is now with Knicks for a $100 million five-year contract is courting James to join him. Chris Paul on the other hand is urging his best bud to stay with Cavs while Chris Bosh said that it is still up to LeBron to decide.

ESPN has said that on an unprecedented move, James went up to them and offered to have a one-hour special that will cover his announcement of what NBA team to join. The program which caters sponsors and ads will have to support the Boys and Girls club of America out of the proceeds it will generate.

But Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy is not at all pleased with the ESPN LeBron James Special.

"It's gotten ridiculous. It's almost like a parody of itself this whole situation now. Come on, an hour long? It takes 15 seconds to say I've decided to stay in Cleveland but we've got another 59 minutes and 45 seconds to, what? Promote LeBron James?"

What do you think? Is Van Gundy right to saying that this whole LeBron James announcement has gotten ridiculous?
