The campaign is heating up for the top seat in the Philippine government. And while Gibo had his own share of issues particularly with an alleged intellectual copyright violation over his political ad, now it is Noynoy Aquino of the Liberal Party that is being scrutinized.
My blogging buddy PinoyGossipyBoy shared his own legal examination and opinion over the alleged violation of Noynoy Aquino of the R.A. 8491 or the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines over his political ad.
This specific law aims to give respect “to the flag, the anthem, and other national symbols which embody the national ideals and traditions and which express the principles of sovereignty and national solidarity.” And any use for advertisement and or any infomercial is a direct violation of the law.
As what PinoyGossipyBoy has shared, Noynoy Aquino’s ad with people waving the flag constitute the violation of RA 8491 and so he also raised to question some issues about Aquino’s capacity to serve the country if ever elected as President if he himself is violating one of the most basic laws in the country.
Unfortunately, this is one of the laws that is not really given much important, and if we only examine, it is not only Noynoy Aquino who has violated it but many politicians and even almost all government agencies. And if we dig in into Aquino's violation, it is better yet to dig in to all violations too.

Come again? Waving the flag is a violation? When the Philippine flag is burned during street demos - that's now a crime, too? How about a law against enacting stupid laws? But then again just like good taste you just can't legislate wisdom, can you.
Come again? Waving the flag is a violation? - i agree... i do not know that... :)
