David Letterman's apology on national TV about his extra-marital affair has pushed the green button for all the paparazzi and tabloid writers to dig up on who is the woman he had an affair with.

And the name surfaced as Stephanie Birkitt.

Who is Stephanie Birkitt?

The woman who appears to be at the center of the scandal is Letterman's former assistant, Stephanie Birkitt. Frequently a participant in on-air "Late Show" sketches over the years, Birkitt was the live-in girlfriend of alleged Letterman extortionist Robert "Joe" Halderman, a producer for CBS' "48 Hours."According to the New York Post, Birkitt recently moved out of Halderman's Norwalk, Connecticut home where she'd been living with him since 2004. When she moved out, Birkitt reportedly left behind her personal diary containing detailed notes about her relationship with Letterman. It was later discovered by Halderman, a fact confirmed by a law enforcement official who spoke with the AP. Birkitt's diary also allegedly revealed that she was still involved with Letterman after she began dating Halderman. That revelation may have set Halderman off as Birkitt had previously insisted that the relationship between she and Letterman was strictly "platonic," and that she was his "best friend." As of this writing, Birkitt has not commented publicly about the scandal, though her father did tell the press that she's going through a "rough time" right now.

David Letterman recently revealed and apologized on his show The David Letterman Show his extra-marital relationship without naming those women who are involved, more so his lover. He also apologized to his wife Regina Lasko for the mistake he has been involved with that was put on the spotlight due to an extortion plot.

But more recently, the name of the woman who is embroiled into this David Letterman Scandal has surfaced.

She is Stephanie Birkitt who is by the one of his show's staff specifically his personal assistant.


Other names who had been Letterman's women are Merril Markoe and Holly Hester.

Now, David will certainly have lots of work to do, to patch things up on this roller-coaster extra-marital affairs: but certainly not a time to throw some hilarious punchlines.

We are all going to watch real soon the local version of Britain's Got Talent with its Philippine own Pilipinas Got Talent to be aired by the network giant ABS-CBN.

Soon, auditions will surely be held all around the Philippines for us to see the Philippine's own talented people showcasing their skills on national TV...and maybe lead them to a road for stardom.

On my own review: Pilipinas Got Talent is another copycat program imported by giant networks.

Can't they think of some unique our very own kind of show without copying? Maybe writers and TV producers had run out of creative juices.
