The White House is not so happy with the latest campaign of PETA or the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals by using the image of the first lady, Michelle Obama without her permission.
The PETA ad have Michelle Obama side-by-side Oprah, Tyra Banks and Carrie Underwood with the slogan, “Fur-free and fabulous!" with the last three has been known as publicly advocating PETA’s campaigns.
"We did not consent to this, " the spokesman of the first lady said.
Despite an irked White House, PETA said it will not buckle down, and will not take down its ads. Its president Ingrid Newkirk said on their statement,
"We haven't asked the White House to fund or promote the campaign, as they can't do such things, but the fact is that Michelle Obama has issued a statement indicating that she doesn't wear fur, and the world should know that in PETA's eyes, that makes her pretty fabulous.”
Since PETA has been so aggressive on their campaigns, they have been involved on many controversies especially on the way they are doing it.
