The mega-fight everyone has been wanting and waiting for is now officially off.
Manny Pacquiao versus Floyd Mayweather Jr. bout scheduled on March 13 is not going to happen anymore as confirmed by the angry Top Rank Promotions head and Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum.
The mediation headed by retired federal judge Daniel Weinstein over drug testing issues between the two top fighters failed
"The mediator called me [before 8 p.m.] and told me the fight was off. The fight's off, Mayweather never wanted it. Manny wanted the fight. He was agreeable to terms."
The source of the issue is drug testing the Mayweather’s camp brought up. According to LA Times source, Manny Pacquiao had “already greed to submit to a blood test 24 days before the fight -- a concession from his prior stance of no closer than 30 days -- and to another blood draw immediately after the bout.” But when this news was brought to Mayweather, the Pretty Boy has changed his mind and never agreed.
"I am disappointed in the sense this fight will not happen," Arum said. "I'm not surprised. I always knew Mayweather would kill it because he didn't want it. He didn't want to lose."
As Arum had said, Mayweather never really wanted the fight, and as of now he is already looking for alternative fights for Manny either Paulie Malignaggi or another welterweight champion.
Mayweather is really a chicken! You suck coward and big-mouthed Pretty Boy!
Update: Mayweather vs Mosely was scheduled instead on May 1, 2010.
