First Filipino White House executive chef Cristeta Comerford recently won the Super Chefs Battle at the Iron Chef America sponsored by the Food Network. Comerford partnered with Chef Bobby Flay against the other two chefs Maraio Batali and Emeril Lagasse.
Cristeta Comerford is a true blooded Filipina born at the heart of Manila in 1962 and took up her food and technology degree at the University of the Philippines before moving to the United States. She has served the White House since 2005 as an executive Chef under the President Bush.
Comerford and partner Flay emerged victorious on the two-hour special at a very close score card results from the judges.
