The Philippine National Football Team or more popularly known as the Azkals is already gearing up for its scheduled match against Sri Lanka on June 29.

The Azkals vs Sri Lanka match is part of the next stage for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers which the Azkals successful got in after their tough match against Mongolia. The face-off between the two teams is to be held at Sri Lanka first and second in the Philippines through the home-away format.

For the Philippines vs Sri Lanka 1st Leg, the venue of the game is at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Perera Road, Colombo. The game will officially start at 18:30 or around 4:00 pm Philippine time.




It is expected that more than 20,000 Sri Lankans will flock the stadium to cheer for their hometown boys.

Both teams promised to give their best during the game.

In the FIFA standings, Sri Lanka ranks 173 while the Philippines ranks 151st.

The Philippine Azkals are presently doing their intensive training in Germany with the guidance of their German coach Michael Weiss. They are set to face German football teams as part of their preparations.

The 2nd Leg of the match is to be held in the Philippines on July 3.

Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavericks Game 5: the game is back at the drawing board as the 2011 NBA Finals proceeds to Game 5 tomorrow with the series tied at 2-2 for the Heat and Mavericks.

Just to make a short recall, during Game 1 held at Miami, the Heat won against Dallas 92-84. However, during Game 2 at the same venue, Dirk Nowitzki made the heroics for his as Miami got too complacent and celebrated too early in the fourth. The game ended at 95-93 for Dallas.

In Game 3 held at Dallas, Miami bounced back in the series with Wade lifting the offense for his team. Miami won Game 3 88-86. In Game 4, Dirk Nowitzki was sick but so was Jame’s offensive. Dallas won the game to tie the series 2-2 at 86-83.



Game 5 will surely be a big game for both of the teams as it will also be a great turning point in the series as the winner will have an edge closer to the crown. Tomorrow’s game will be held still at Dallas Mavericks while Games 6 and if ever there will still be a Game 7 is going to be played at Miami Heat’s home court.

LeBron James promised to play better offensive and be more aggressive on tomorrow’s game his dismal 8-point performance in Game 4. And though Dirk Nowitzki is still stricken with flu, he said in an interview that he is all ready.

Game 5 between the Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks is to be aired live by ABS-CBN at 9 AM in channel 2. Replay will be at 7 pm in Studio 23.

There is no doubt that Anne Coulter is one of the most vocal of the conservative political camp. And its seems that there is not stopping for her.

Anne Coulter has a new book, actually her eight book. The book is entitled, "Demonic: How the Liberal Mob is Endangering America” which becomes available in stores today in the United States.

The book promises more controversy from the author that has been labeled as a facist and Paris Hilton of modern-day politics. According to different reviewers, part of Coulter’s newest book state,

“Just as fire seeks oxygen, Democrats seek power, which is why they will always be found championing the mob whether the mob consists of Democrats lynching blacks or Democrats slandering the critics of ObamaCare as racists."

Coulter in her eight book accuses the Democrats of operating as a mob which she says try to demolish their opponents. Further, Democrats she says play the game of name-calling which incite passions and emotions from the public.



In an interview, Coulter however clarified that she does not refer to the democrats as demonic but their tactic of using the mob.

"I'm against mobs. ... I'm not saying go out and punch a Democrat today, but when the mob arises ... you overreact to a mob because you can't reason with a mob,” said Coulter.

Pound for pound king and Sarangani Representative Manny Pacquiao took home a new advertising deal for a global brand side-by-side NBA superstar LeBron James.

Pacquiao is the newest face of Hewlett Packard (HP) for its smartphone to be distributed in the United States. The smartphone is named HP Veer 4G. The Pacquiao HP video ad was first posted on YouTube last May 31 and has instantly become a viral hit. It has now reached more than 175,000 page views.

Sports pundits say that Pacquiao is estimated to receive $1 million a year for the said endorsement deal for HP.



Pacquiao is set to fight Juan Manuel Marquez to complete their trilogy on November 12. The most-awaited fight is to be held at Las Vegas.
