Donnie Nietes: I Will Knock Out Ramon Garcia Hilares

The Filipino champion Donnie “Ahas” Nieties is confident that he will be able to win his second championship belt on a heaver weight division.

Nietes had relinquished his hold of the WBO minimumweight championship belt with a stellar career, successfully defending it four times and most of the time on his challengers’ territories.

The Ilonggo pugilist said that he is confident that he will knock out his Mexican foe Ramon Garcia Hirales in front of his hometown to win the WBO light-flyweight crown.

At the PSA forum, Neites said,

“I just can’t say what round but I will go for the knockout.”

He also allayed fears of his moving up in weight saying that, he has become stronger.  He also said that between him and Hirales, he is the stronger, faster and more intelligent fighter.

The fight will be held on October 8 at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum in Bacolod City.
