August 30, 2010 Declared A Non-Working Holiday

The Office of the President through its spokesperson Atty. Edwin Lacierda announced that August 30, 2010 has been declared by the President as a non-working holiday and since it falls on a Monday, there is no longer any sense for it to be moved.

August 30 is National Heroes Day.

Thought August 30, 2010 is now declared a non-working holiday, Pres. Aquino withdraw earlier the declaration made by his predecessor Gloria Arroyo of making August 23 a holiday in line with the latter’s holiday economics.

So enjoy long weekend folks!
