The New York City Triathlon 2010 was filled with excitement but the terrible temperature sent many people who joined the triathlon straight to the hospital.
Temperature during the triathlon rose up that 12 competitors were immediately confined to a hospital after collapsing during the race. Temperate reached up to 95 degree Celsius.
Almost 3,000 people joined the race that included a 1.5-kilometer swim down the Hudson River, a 40-kilometer bike race and 10-kilometer run.
One by one, some racers just fell on the ground due to the terrible heat and exhaustion.
