Kaye Cowher, wife of Bill Cowher, the former coach of Pittsburg Steelers died at 54 after succumbing to skin cancer.The Cowher family requested for privacy during their moments of grieving.
It will be remembered that it was Kaye who played a great part on Bill’s decision to eventually retire from coaching in 2007 to be with their family and look after the welfare of their children who were growing up.
Kaye was born Kaye Young in Bunn, N.C. and married Bill in 1981.
The Cowher children are also athletes.
