A huge dishwasher recall was made by Maytag that is estimated to reach about 1.7 million dishwashers.
Maytag, a company under Whirlpool Corporation is tasked to recall its Maytag dishwasher as the Consumer Product Safety Commission said that it has received reports of electrical failures caused by the heating of the dishwasher. These reports of electrical failures of Maytag are also connected to fires and damages at home.
Here is the list of those included in the recall:
“Maytag, Amana, Jenn-Air, Admiral, Magic Chef, Performa by Maytag and Crosley brand dishwashers with plastic tubs.”
The government agency further announced to consumers to stop using all products included in the recall.
On the other hand, Whirlpool Corp. said that it will follow all the agency has prescribed and help out customers. It also has placed $75 million to cover the repair costs.
