2010 US November Midterm Elections, Projections, Polls and Results



The 2010 US Midterm elections to be held on November 2, 2010 is already taking shape as the Democrats and the Republicans are already positioning themselves: the Democrats to fortify its hold of the government despite the dwindling popularity of Obama policies and his handling of the oil spill off the gulf of Mexico, and the Republicans to regain their lost seats in government after the Obama victory.

The 2010 US elections in November is for the Senate, House of Representatives and Governors positions.

Presently, there are 58 Democrats compared to the 40 Republicans and 2 Independents in the US Senate; the Houseof Representatives is currently with 256 Democrats, 178 Republicans and 1 vacant seat; while 36 seats for the governor will be fought for.

Projections and polls for the US Midterm elections this 2010 points to a still Democrat-led House of Representatives, Senate and Governors, though the recent polls being conducted by ElectionProjection.com points to a very slight decrease on the numbers of the Democrats.

Everything then will boil down as to how will the Republicans aggressively campaign and how will Obama also campaign for his party to still retains a big majority position in government to push for his legislative agenda.
