As people are already packing up to ready for their individual summer escapade, one great destination to consider is the Island of Siargao in Surigao del Norte Province, Mindanao.Located south of the Philippines and facing the wide Pacific Ocean, Siargao Island has seen a steep rise of visitors, tourists and foreigners flock its island to enjoy the perfect waves for surfing.
Surfing events had already been regular in Siargao Island as it became the premiere surfing destination in the Philippines.
The seas of Siargao boasts of the “thick, hollow tubes” commonly called “Cloud 9” perfect for surfers.
Today, the island annually host the Siargao Cup that reels in both domestic and international surfing atheletes.
