The United States Treasury Department is unveiling and soon releasing to the public the newest $100 bill.
The new $100 dollar has last been remade in 1996.
What does the new $100 bill looks like?
The new design for Benjamin Franklin will have a little facelift but the main reason for the remake is for security, more so to prevent counterfeiting the said dollar bill. More security features were added to the bill.
The unveiling ceremony was held 10:30 AM at the Deparment of the Treasury Cash Room. The event was attended by the Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Timothy Giethner.
The $100 bill is the highest value of money in the US circulation.
