The song “We Are the World” has a new Spanish language version entitled “Somos El Mundo” that will help on raising funds for the Haiti earthquake victims.Most prominent Spanish celebrities who spearheaded the campaign were Emilio and Gloria Estefan.
Estefan shared his idea on how important the Spanish market to be tapped into helping the rebuilding efforts in Haiti:
"You know, Latinos always want to do things in a positive way, to show the world that even we come from different places, we wanted to definitely help. I think now is the best time because people forget."
Other Spanish celebrities were Andy Garcia, Carlos Santana, David Archuleta, Jose Feliciano and Banda El Recodo.
