The recall of Toyota Prius hybrid cars has caused a great trouble not only to the U.S. for which many accidents have been attributed to faulty brakes and accelerators, but also to all Toyota car owners worldwide.
Toyota Motor Philippines has so far not given any concrete word of any Prius recall in the Philippines as they are still determining the issue though they also admitted that the Prius hybrid car sold in the Philippines also came from the Japan; where the recall of the same model has taken effect.
This is the Toyota's official statement:
"Toyota Motor Philippines is still waiting for the official announcement specific to the Philippines. We will release an official statement as soon as we get more information. The Prius sold by TMP in the Philippines are sourced from Japan."
So Prius owners in our country has still to wait for the official announcements.
