Press Secretary Cerge Remonde died only minutes ago (at 11:51 AM) as he was rushed to the Makati Medical Center after he was found unconscious inside the bathroom of his Makati residence in BelAir. He is said to have suffered a major cardiac arrest.
He was a broadcast journalist for many years at Manila Bulletin before assumed the position of Press Secretary on February 1, 2009. He is 51 years old.
Palace spokesperson Gary Olivar asks for prayers for the family of Sec. Remonde.
Despite being the mouthpiece of President Arroyo, we offer our condolence.

I agree. I also offer my condolences to the family. Life is really hard when you're stuck working with a stressful person like GMA...
Condolences to his family and may he rest in peace. Can't help but to think though who will replace him in the palace now that he is gone. Too young but there is nothing we can do about that so we have to move forward.
