Pilipinas Got Talent (Season 3) Grand Finals Winner: It will already be the final test for all of them who passed the long journey of showcasing the best of Filipino talent.

The singing trio from Samar, the Maasinhon Trio won the contest, besting crowd and online polls favorite El Gamma Penubra which by the way showcased the best performance during that night.

Many people are very disappointed with the result as for the third time, singing bested all other contestants which showed better talents.

I myself is very disappointed with the result.  It sucks!

El Gamma Penumbra was the real winner.

Pilipinas Got Talent (Season 3) Grand Finals: 12 groups will battle it out in order to bring home the title of Pilipinas Got Talent Grand Finals winner on its third season.

In its first season, Jovit Baldivino hailed thousands of others who auditioned while the second season winner is Marcelito Pomoy.

Grand finals night is going to be held on October 22, Saturday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City. It will be aired live via ABS-CBN. Winner is going to be announced the next day, October 23, Sunday at the same venue.

Civil Service Exam Results - October 2011: More than 16,000 Filipinos took the Civil Service Exams this October 2011 administered by the Civil Service Commission of the Republic of the Philippines.

The examination was held in different cities in the country.

The exam catered for two types of application; the professional and sub-professional. It took examinees at least two hours to finish the test.

With more than 16,000 exam takers, I am pretty sure that the CSC will be able to release the results in about a month or two just like in the past. But the result will be posted here as soon as it gets available by the commission to the public.

The 33-year old Dan Wheldon died in a car crash Sunday at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Wheldon’s car was caught up in the car crash involving 15 vehicles in the speedway.

As the incident horrified many people watching the race, emergency medical personnel and firemen immediately tried to stop the fire and rescue the racers trapped on their burning vehicles. Dan Wheldon was immediately airlifted and brought to the University Medical Center.

Reports say that doctors tried their best to save the two-time Indy winner, but two hours later also died.

According to Randy Bernard, IndyCar CEO, Wheldon’s injuries were"unsurvivable."

Wheldon’s close friend Dario Franchitti felt really sad losing someone so special. In an interview, eh said,

"One minute you're joking around at driver intros. The next, Dan's gone. I lost, we lost, a good friend. Everybody in the IndyCar series considered him a friend. He was such a good guy. He was a charmer."

With the race canceled, drivers, many sobbing openly, took part in a five-lap salute around the 1.5-mile oval in honor of one of the sport's biggest stars.

Other racers injured were Pippa Mann and JR Hildebrand who were both brought to the hospital and are now confined.Racers and spectators were all grieving while a salute and honorary act of race cars driving over the race track was done.

Donaire vs Narvaez Fight: A big fight is coming up for Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire this month as he defends for the first time his WBC/WBO bantamweight agains the undefeated Omar Narvaez.

Nonito Donaire comes from a big after he knocked out cold with a left counter punch bantamweight king Fernando Montiel last October.

Despite some troubles as regards his family and his promoter before this match against Narvaez, Nonito said that he is focused and well-prepared. He also promised that he will go for a knockout; he wants not only Narvaez to have a taste of his first defeat but also to kiss the canvass.

Nonito will come up the ring with a 26-1, 18 KO’s, while Omar boasts of a 35-0-2, 23 KOs record.

This fight may come as a very easy match for Donaire as his Argentinean opponent is a much smaller fighter.

The Donaire vs Narvaez fight will happen on October 22 at the Madison Square Garden in New York.

It will be aired live by HBO. Live streaming will also be made available for sure.

Donaire won the fight via unanimous decision, the whole match lasting up to 12 rounds. This is the last fight for Donaire in this weight division before moving up to face Arce or Nashioka.

But the fight ended up in a big disappointment as the Narvaez certainly came not to fight but play some game, and just take home to pot.

Donaire vs Narvaez Tickets:  Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire is already wrapping up his training camp as the fight date approaches when he will have to defend his title against Omar Narvaez on October 22.

The Donaire vs Narvaez fight will happen at the Madison Square Garden in New York.

Donaire will come up the ring with a 26-1, 18 KO’s while the Argentinean boxing star has a 35-0-2, 23 KOs record.

The fight will be aired live by HBO.

Tickets for this fight were already made to the public, but to all who are yet to buy and wants some information, tickets are priced at $200, $100, $50 and $25.

I don’t know if tickets are still available.

The Madison Square Garden will open its doors to all fight fans at 7:00 p.m. ET while the first bell will be heard at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Donaire vs Narvaez: Filipino boxing star Nonito “The Filipino Flash Donaire” is going up the ring on October 22 to defend his WBC/WBO bantamweight champion which he won via a spectacular knockout victory against bantamweight king Fernando Montiel last February.

Donaire is going to face the undefeated and Argentinean boxing star Omar Narvaez.The Donaire vs Narvaez fight is set to happen at the mecca of the boxing, the Madison Square Garden in New York.

According to Top Rank President Todd duBoef, this fight will certainly draw many fans.

"The electricity in New York fights is unlike any city. New York has long been the Mecca of boxing and when you are able to bring in one of the pound-for-pound greats, like Nonito Donaire, it is great for the sport and great for his development and marketability.”

For Donaire, he promises to give all the fans a great night of explosive boxing. He said that there was no way for him to do but knockout the undefeated challenger.

Donaire who stands at 5’7 will certainly have lots of advantage against the smaller Narvaez who stands at 5’3. Many boxing commentators say that this certainly is a mismatch will surely be an easy fight for the Filipino Flash.

Donaire vs Narvaez: A big fight is up for this month as Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire will face the unbeaten Omar Narvaez from Argentina.

The Donaire vs Narvaez fight will happen on October 22 at the Madison Square Garden in New York, which is considered as the Mecca of boxing.

Nonito Donaire Wants to Knock Out Narvaez

Coming off a spectacular win against bantamweight king Fernando Montiel last February, Nonito Donaire wants to give fight fans a great night of boxing. He also expressed his desire of winning the fight against Narvaez in a satisfying manner by knocking out the undefeated challenger.

The fighter who comes from General Santos City, Philippines holds a 26-1, 18 KO’s fight record.

In an interview, Donaire said,

“For me, the most satisfying victory is a knockout victory. I would look for that if I can see it, but I’m not going to force the issue.”

He also admitted that Narvaez is no push over as the guy shows a great fight record.

“He’s a legend in Argentina. In terms of who he is and what he has done in boxing, he’s been a great champion."

But he is resolved to give the Argentinean fighter his first loss.

Omar Narvaez is a fighter that the Filipino Flash should never dismiss.

Omar will come up the ring on October 22 with a 35-0-2, 23 KOs record.

This southpaw had a taste of the world championship belt after he won the WBO flyweight championship when he knocked down the champion in 2002. Astonishingly, he defended this title 12 times before moving up in weight in 2010.

Azkals vs Nepal Game: The Philippine National Football team is all ready as they face Nepal tonight for the FIFA-sanctioned international friendly match. The game will be held at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila and is the first international friendly match hosted by the Philippines in 14 years. After a 0-2 loss against Singapore days ago, the Azkals promised that they will do everything to defend Rizal against Nepal which is 135th in the world.

Coach Michael Weiss said that his boys are ready and are all fired up come game time.

"Despite the loss and negative outcome of the game, I think we should be patient here and take these matches seriously. Of course, considering the result but more in keeping with our team trying to develop, give them time to play together to be stronger."

Despite being a friendly match, the performance of each team for the Philippines vs Nepal game will still carry some weight as it will also give some cue for FIFA on giving its world standing for the two countries.

The Philippine Azkals is at the 166th place in the world.

Nepal on the other hand promised to give the Azkals a tough time with its young roster of players.

Nepal’s team members have the average age of 22.

Its British coach Graham Roberts said in an interview,

"We will play for the win.” 

The game will start at 7PM and will be aired live by Studio 23.

Azkals vs Nepal: Our very own National Football Team will fight the Nepalese team on October 11, 2011 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. 

The match was made as a FIFA-sanctioned international friendly game between the Philippine Azkals and Nepal. 

Nepal Football Team Ready to Win: 

The Nepalese Football team is resolved to do their best against the hometown team and against the roaring hometown crowd.

According to reports, this football team is mostly composed of players around their 20’s. Their performance for the last couple of years has also improved tremendously. So this team is no push-over for the Philippines.

Philippine Azkals Will Do their Best: 

Members of the Philippine Azkals vowed to protect their home from Nepal. Chieffy Caligdong, assistant team captain and striker of the team said that they will do their best and give their all to protect Rizal.

“We’ve worked so hard to finally get this chance (of playing at home), so we’ll do our best to protect Rizal,” said Caligdong. 

To augment the team’s defense against Nepal, Rob Gier has arrived and is ready to play tomorrow. Other members of the team that are expected to play and make a home debut are Jerry Lucena and Dennis Cagara.

Team manager Dan Palami said that they don’t want to be the push-over team on tomorrow’s game.

“We can’t just allow Nepal to come over here and dominate us. We are not the favored team, so we’re hopeful that we would get all the support at Rizal.” 

Unfortunately, Angel Guirado and Ian Araneta will not be able to play due to injuries.

Expected to hype up the hometown crowds are the “Kaholeros” and all the fans that will fill the stadium.

The match tomorrow between the Philippine Azkals and Nepal will be the first international friendly match hosted by the country in 14 years.

The game will start at 7 pm and will be aired on Studio 23.
